FCS Superintendent, Dr. Andy Hatton

Welcome to Findlay City Schools and to another new school year - one that will be filled with unlocking the dreams of each and every student through academic excellence, providing diverse opportunities, and actively engaging in true belonging.

While we are extremely proud of our recent results on the state report card, exceeding the state of Ohio expectations, we have not yet exceeded our own expectations. Further, we believe our students are much more than test scores! Our incredible students are thinkers, creators, questioners, wonderers, collaborators, hard workers - just to name a few descriptors of the best students in the world.

In Findlay City Schools, we have a proud history of parent and community support, unmatched across the state. Families as true partners in education is a vital key to our success in the classroom - and for that we are truly grateful.

This year, I challenged our staff with Albert Einstein’s wisdom, to “learn from yesterday, live for today, and hope for tomorrow.” Our entire staff steps up to meet this challenge every day, all in the service of our students.

The 2024-2025 school year is filled with promise and potential. As I enter my second year as your Superintendent, I could not be more excited and proud of our team, as we stand ready to support each child in their unique learning journey to be life ready by graduation.

We continue to believe in our students, believe in each other, and believe in this great community - and as always, Go Trojans!
